Rust2Iron is about telling the stories of amateur endurance sports athletes through photography. Rust2Iron represents finding your biggest mountain and the journey of getting to the top. It’s about learning, growing, overcoming and transformation. It’s about defying the odds and doing what others say is impossible.

We believe in getting out there and constantly seeking or craving another adventure, whether it’s on your feet, two wheels or across water. We live for the moments of running through winding trails off the beaten path, riding up crazy mountainsides, or swimming across lakes.

Our goal is to bring together a community of endurance athletes and create inspiration.

Rust2Iron was dreamed up in Kamloops, British Columbia where we have plenty of backyard playgrounds to seek out our next challenge.

Thanks for joining in – I hope you enjoy the ride.

  1. I am so pumped that I stumbled across your blog. I too have decided to start the epic (ugh I hate that word, but its so fitting) journey toward being called “IRONMAN”. Ironically enough, my father was diagnosed with MS two years ago so I was really drawn to your story. I’m shooting or Lake Placid 2016 and am working on setting up a blog as well (mostly to save my friends on other social media from my constant sweaty selfies, road rash, etc) Good luck to you, and i’ll be following your story all along!!!

    • You just made my night. I started my blog for the same reasons as you, but as I’ve gone along I’ve realized it’s also about connecting with people who have similar stories. I’m so glad we connected. I will definitely be looking for your stories along the way too. All the best, it’s one hell of a ride.

  2. Hi Aly,

My name is Francesca. I’m the producer of the Jim Harrison Show in Kamloops. I am hoping to get you on the show to chat about your journey to Ironman Canada and your efforts to raise money for the MS Society.
If you could please get back to me whenever you get a moment, it would be greatly appreciated.
